Black Dress
We have all heard the famous phrase “something is the new black”, right? Well I’ve got news for you! Nothing is the new black! There is no color that can compare to black when it comes to fashion and the black dress is a fashion item that will never expire! This fashion started way back with Coco Chanel’s little black dress and has come as far as black dresses for juniors and black tie dresses today!
Personally it is my favorite piece of clothing as it is perfectly appropriate for every different use. You can wear black formal dresses to work or cute black dresses for the casual nights out with your boyfriend. They come in thousands of different designs and they can be made of any material you choose. You can find everything from a simple black dress to extravagant designer pieces made of satin or sequins for those of you who think that they can pull of something mind blowing! On top of that, there are many different black dress accessories you can experiment with to make your dress fit your personality. After all, it is you wearing the dress and not the other way around and you should never forget that.
When it comes to price I think that the only thing I can say is to make sure you don’t exceed your budget. Each and every one of us has a different budget and we should all be careful to set our spending limit accordingly! For those of us that aren’t prepared to spend a fortune on a dress, there are cheap black dresses that have nothing to envy when compared to the more expensive ones. On the other hand, if you are not really concerned about the price, there are designer black dresses that can cost up to anything close to a few thousand dollars. Make sure you are comfortable with the price tag or else you will not be able to actually enjoy your purchase.
One more thing to keep in mind is to choose the size of the dress according to our figure. There is no shame in buying a plus size little black dress if this is the one that suits you best. In fact, many times, there are many designs that are only made in plus sizes so you may actually be better off!
Choosing the length of the dress is equally important to the rest and you have to be very careful. A long black dress is considered to be a more elegant solution for when you are invited to certain formal events but this does not mean that a short dress is not suitable too. Make sure to think the whole evening through as well as account for the dress code, if one exists.
No matter what you choose, remember that black is the only new black and this is the way things will be for a very long time! Black dresses have been in fashion for ages and they will definitely be for years to come!
